The multi-layer technology employed in GPS capsules enables the utilization of an outer skin material composed of BIO compostable polymers, ensuring a high level of humidity barrier through its impressively low Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR). Additionally, the capsules feature an inner/barrier layer that is fully encapsulated, providing an exceptional high oxygen barrier with a minimal Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR).

The encapsulated inner layer, crafted from PVOH (Polyvinyl Alcohol), possesses an exceptional oxygen barrier property that is 100 times more effective than the commonly used EVOH (Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol). This remarkable characteristic ensures the preservation and protection of food from oxidation throughout its entire 24-month shelf life.
Traditionally, achieving a proper barrier in packaging requires the use of multiple layers. This is why GPS capsules, constructed with multiple layers, can provide a genuine assurance of effective barriers against oxygen and humidity. Such comprehensive protection is not attainable through traditional single-layer packaging methods.
